Peter Petersen, born 1984 in Essen, NRW, Germany is an interdisciplinary artist and founder of 3D Druckzentrum Ruhr, an entrepreneurial research facility combining art and technology. Branded the first Fablab in Essen, it fosters the knowledge of artists, designers, engineers and startup entrepreneurs and distributes those skills and knowledge throughout society. On this basis, Peter Petersen organizes all sorts of interdisciplinary projects, for example UFAM interdisciplinary art convention (www.ufamruhr.de) an international videomapping workshop in cooperation with Rencontres Audiovisuelles, Lille, France and dozens of small art and educational projects. He is also active as an illustrator, mixing traditional and digital media.
